I would like to express my sincere appreciation being selected as High Priest. I’ve already attended several meetings plus working on plans for the coming year. One meeting I attended was Grand King’s Roll Out conducted by Rodney L. Carr, Grand King. His motto is "Building the Future". He emphasized education of officers using online Resource Courses 1 and 11 found on the Grand Chapter website, www.ohioram.org, attending District and Chapter functions, doing good degree work and membership development. I will gladly share the complete Roll Out program for interested Companions. Along with other Findlay Companions, I attended the 7th District spring meeting. Topics discussed were inspection dates and degree and Chapter’s District dues structure and election of officers. Note worthy dates: July 19, 2021 is the Sunday Hog Roast/GHP Reception at the Findlay Complex at 3pm. Sept. 7, 2021 will be the 1st stated meeting for the coming year with potluck meal, meat provided by Chapter. Jan. 4, 2022 is our inspection date also stated meeting night. The inspected degree will be Mark Master. I hope all Companions have a safe and fun summer. Fraternally Tom DeFrieze Excellent High Priest Findlay Chapter is up and running once again and oh how much nicer it would be if it were running with you on the sidelines. As all are slowly but surely opening back up, allowing more and more to assemble, it is our hope you may gather with us.
Our Inspection took place on March 2nd. Due to restrictions from Grand Chapter we had to change our Degree. We portrayed the Past Master Degree and a big “Thanks” and "Job Well Done" goes to all our Companions who made it such a success. Chapter, the same as all Masonic Bodies, is hard pressed at times in filling the chairs. I ask all Chapter members to consider volunteering to take a chair for a year, or longer if you find you enjoy doing the work. If you are not interested in a chair, possibly you would consider learning a part in a degree. No matter how large or how small a part, your participation would be so much appreciated and only increase the enjoyment of learning and seeing our fine degrees. Please keep an eye on your email and check the Findlay Masonic Bodies online web site. At our website you will be able to see all activity taking place in and around Findlay Lodge and its other Bodies. Check the Calendar for up-top-date listings. If you will, I am asking that anyone who wishes to be on my Chapter emailing list, please send your email address to me at [email protected]. Thank you for your continued support of Findlay Chapter #58, I hope to see you at Chapter sometime soon. God Bless… Fraternally Charles Insley Excellent High Priest Dear Companions:
Happy New Year to one and all. We must all believe that 2021 will be better than 2020. We have missed being able to get together and having an evening of fellowship. When we have our first Stated Meting in 2021 will depend on the edicts of the Grand Chapter. A hold was placed on all activities until the 1st of January 2021. Please keep an eye on your email and check the Findlay Masonic Bodies online web site, www.findlaymason.org. At our website you will be able to see all activity taking place in and around Findlay Lodge and its other Bodies. Check the Calendar for up-to-date listings. If you will, I am asking that anyone who wishes to be on my Chapter emailing list, please send your email address to me. If the Grand Chapter allows Inspections to take place after January 1st, Findlay Chapter will be portraying the Most Excellent Masters Degree. If you are interested in helping in some way with a part in this Degree, please let me know, it is great to have as many new faces involved in our work and in attendance. Times are tough and I ask that if there is anything members of the Fraternity can do to help you or your family with, such as small repairs, yard work, etc; please contact one of our Officers and we will do all we can to help. Thank you for your continued support of Findlay Chapter No 58, I hope to see you at Chapter sometime soon. God Bless…. Fraternally Charles Insley Greetings Companions:
What a year, but it will get better. Even through this trying time, Findlay Lodge has received a number of petitions, which is fantastic. We have spoken to some fine men and hope to get them through their degrees in good time. Hopefully some, if not at all, will be interested in furthering their travels through York Rite. Officers have been elected and installed for 2021: EHP Charles Insley, King Tom DeFrieze, Scribe Jason Pontious, Treasurer Tim Roth, Secretary David J. Roth, C of H Steve Roth, P.S. John Sponsler, R.A.C. Rick Eakin, M 3rd V Steve Horton, M 2nd V Skip Garey, M 1st V Mike Barringer, Guard Bob Grandbois and Chaplain Dave Roth. Meetings are the first Tuesday of the month. With health concerns as they are, feel free to attend in a mask if you wish. We have a carry-in dinner at 6:30pm in the dining room. The main course is provided; just bring a dish of your choice to share. Family members are always welcome to join us. Not many other events are taking place regarding the York Rite at this time, but as they come up, you will be informed. Check the Calendar at the Masonic Complex website, findlaymason.org. One last thing I wish to bring to your attention. If there is anything members of the Fraternity can do to help you or help you or your family with, such as small repairs, yard work, etc., please contact one of our Officers and we will see what we can do to help. Thank you for your continued support of Findlay Chapter No. 58, I hope to see you at Chapter sometime soon. God Bless. Fraternally Charles E. Insley Dear Companions:
It certainly feels like it’s been a long time since we have been together. Our plans as at this moment are to meet Tuesday, September 1st at our usual time of 7:30pm Findlay hosted the Grand King’s School for the District on Saturday, June 13. Attendance was good and we heard from our next GHP Right Excellent Companion Dan Smith. The Grand Chapter website states that the Grand Session will be October 7-8 (Tuesday/Wednesday at Great Wolof Lodge, Mason, Ohio. All Chapter members are eligible to attend; the EHP, King, and Scribe are expected to represent Findlay Chapter. Mark your calenders for the EHP reception and District Meeting on Sunday, July 19 at Findlay Masonic Complex. A hog roast will be featured along with fun and fund-raising too. 3pm If the Hancock County Fair is a “go”, please be sure to assist the golf cart project. Is a great fund-raiser for Findlay Lodge and is a great opportunity for community out-reach. Sign up for a great day and time to drive. The COVID-19 situation has reminded us all of the frailty of life and the importance of brotherhood. Let’s continue to keep track of one another and reach out to our Companions to be sure they are ok... COVID or not. VERY INPORTANT: if you haven’t yet set up your account on the Ohio Lodge website GRANDVIEW, please do so. Information on the findlaymason.com website, or contact Companion Jason Pontious if you need assistance. We were proud to have gained new members last year, and I’m certain we can gain a few more this year as well! I’m anxious to see all of you again on September 1 if not before.
