Summer Newsletter

​Dear Companions:

The summer is upon us, but fall isn’t far away.  Our first meeting will be Tuesday, September 5 at 8:30 pm (right after Chapter).  Our first Order of business will be installation of remaining officers for the year, who are: Richard Eakin IM, Boyd Durain DM, Linville Taggert P.C.W., John Evinger Treas., David Roth Recorder, Tom DeFrieze Capt. Of Guard, Steve Horton Cond., Chuck Insley Steward, and Robert Grandbois Steward.

Our immediate PIM, Tom Defrieze, has received his Past Master’s apron for a job very well done last year.

The Memorial Day weekend roadside rest fundraiser on I-75 was successful in every measure: 6 Second Arch Councils helped out, over $2,000,00 in profit was raised to benefit Grand Council Diabetic Kids Fund (of which over $300.00 was sent directly to our local Diabetic Kids Camp held at Camp Berry.  A huge thank you to everyone who helped.  Companions are encouraged to help out during the Camp during the first weekend of August.

All Companions are encouraged to attend the Grand Council Session October 1-2-3 at Kalahari Resort in Sandusky.

Findlay companions serving the Second Arch are Steve Roth, First Vice President, Tom DeFrieze, Third Vice President, and Ron Drebert, Organ Donor Committee Member.

We will be hitting the ground running this year with our Super Excellent Master Degree scheduled for Monday, November 20, 2017.  We have a Candidate also!  This month of May has been very full in the past, so we’re trying the SEM early before the rush.

Our Annual Inspection will be Monday, February 26, 2018, in the Select Master degree.
