Greetings from Rainbow Assembly No. 173
Three girls and 2 adults attended Grand Assembly in July. We came home with two Grand Officers. Victoria Silveus was appointed Grand Service and Brynn Follas Grand Confidential Observer. Brynn received an Honorable Mention on her flag she made for Nevada. Some of us will be participating in the Hancock County Alzheimer’s Walk on Sat. September 16th., which is in support of our Grand Worthy Advisor’s Service Project that is raising funds and awareness of Alzheimer’s and Dementia. On that day, we will also be cleaning windows and trimming bushes at one of the senior citizens home that we adopted. We plan on doing a Rake and Run when the leaves start falling and we will begin a fundraiser of selling mixed bags soon. We hope also to have a bake sale in November or December at the breakfast the first Saturday of the month. Our Assembly is in a rebuilding stage, as our older members leave us to head off for college. We are low in active members right now. Do you know any 11-20 year old girls that would benefit from the teachings of Rainbow? Please talk to them about our Order. We currently meet the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month @ 7:00. With the girl’s extra curricular activities, we sometimes have to change the time or meeting night, so please contact me if you wish to join us. Lori Anast Mother Advisor
