Every year the Findlay Masonic Lodge awards one to three Oran L. Goodman scholarships to area high school students.  Applicants MUST reside within Hancock county, although they can attend a high school that is located outside of the county.  This scholarship is open to any high school senior, regardless of their Masonic affiliation.  In fact, the application reviewing committee reviews all applications with the first page removed, helping to ensure anonymity.  To also ensure anonymity, we cannot accept emailed applications at this time; the application must be printed and mailed to the address listed on the application (they can also be dropped in the mail slot next to the door at the Masonic complex at 303 Osborn Ave in Findlay).  Applications must be received (not postmarked) on or prior to March 31 for consideration.

FOR THE 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR ONLY: Our long-time scholarship chairmen, Jim Warren, passed away unexpectedly, and the Lodge was unaware that he mailed applications to area schools annually.  Due to our oversight, we have contacted area schools and let them know of this issue and that the scholarship deadline has been extended to April 30, 2024, for this year only.
