Dear Companions:
It certainly feels like it’s been a long time since we have been together. Our plans as at this moment are to meet Tuesday, September 1st at our usual time of 7:30pm Findlay hosted the Grand King’s School for the District on Saturday, June 13. Attendance was good and we heard from our next GHP Right Excellent Companion Dan Smith. The Grand Chapter website states that the Grand Session will be October 7-8 (Tuesday/Wednesday at Great Wolof Lodge, Mason, Ohio. All Chapter members are eligible to attend; the EHP, King, and Scribe are expected to represent Findlay Chapter. Mark your calenders for the EHP reception and District Meeting on Sunday, July 19 at Findlay Masonic Complex. A hog roast will be featured along with fun and fund-raising too. 3pm If the Hancock County Fair is a “go”, please be sure to assist the golf cart project. Is a great fund-raiser for Findlay Lodge and is a great opportunity for community out-reach. Sign up for a great day and time to drive. The COVID-19 situation has reminded us all of the frailty of life and the importance of brotherhood. Let’s continue to keep track of one another and reach out to our Companions to be sure they are ok... COVID or not. VERY INPORTANT: if you haven’t yet set up your account on the Ohio Lodge website GRANDVIEW, please do so. Information on the findlaymason.com website, or contact Companion Jason Pontious if you need assistance. We were proud to have gained new members last year, and I’m certain we can gain a few more this year as well! I’m anxious to see all of you again on September 1 if not before. Rick Eakin Excellent High Priest Dear Brothers and Companions:
Thank you for your efforts at our annual inspection Feb. 24th. We portrayed the Royal Arch degree for five candidates, including two of our own. Companions Darlington Dick and Nathan Weiker! We were honored to have Grand High Priest H. Jeffrey Shaw in attendance. We are always excited to have new Companions experience the beautiful and instructive degrees of Mark Master, Past Master, Most Excellent Master, and Royal Arch Mason. If you are not a RAM, you can become one... just ask. The Northwest Ohio York Rite Festival is held in our Complex on Saturday May 9, 2020. You are able to receive degrees in Chapter (Royal Arch Masons), Council (Royal Select Masons) and the orders of Commandery of Knights Templar all in the same day if you wish! Of course, you are welcome to receive each degree one at a time in the “usual” manner too! We will host the Grand King’s School on Saturday June 13 with coffee at 8am and the session at 9am. Come and help the rollout of Grand King Dan Smith’s program for next year. The Seventh District spring meeting will be Thursday June 18th at East of Chicago Pizza in Upper Sandusky at 6:30pm and will include the election of district officers. Our District Grand High Priest Reception and hog roast will be Sunday, July 19th at Findlay Masonic Complex beginning at 3pm. Awards will be presented and Adopt America will be receiving the proceeds of our fundraiser. Everyone, whether a RAM or not is welcome!
