Summer Newsletter

​Greetings  Sir Knights,

Don’t change the channel! Yes it is me Steve Roth serving as your Commander AGAIN.

I want to thank, the officers that are taking positions for the next year.  We have four sir knight serving on the lines who are not Past Commanders, (YEAH).  Anyone who is interested in joining the commandery line or know of someone who would like to become a member, please contact me.

The officers serving this next year will be part of the 200th year of the Grand Encampment.

Remember: Every Christian Mason should be a Knights Templar.

Summer is upon us and though we may go dark for the summer we will not sit idle.  Our State Ranked Drill Team will be practicing again this summer on the parking lot Sunday or Monday nights.  Contact me or Rick Eakin for details.

The CTA meeting on July 17th will be held at the Teddy Bear parking in Lima (4pm picnic; 5pm meeting).

In August we are planning a Medieval Dinner on the lawn.  Details to follow, Bring your appetite and a costume and join the fun.

September we will begin the new commandery year.  September 14th is the first meeting, pot luck dinner with our ladies at 6:30pm and meeting at 7:30pm.  Please attend.

A special note for those Sir Knights who are proud members of Ohio Priory #18.  Please join us in Lima September 10th as two Past Commanders of Findlay will be inducted.

Sir Knights, I plan to take on the challenge of conferring the full form Order of Malta as our inspection degree February 24th 2017.  I am sure that this is something you will not want to miss.  There are several non-speaking parts which can be filled by any sir knight.   Findlay has not conferred the Full Form Malta in 40 years or more.
