Attendance has been thin and I ask each member of Findlay Chapter to please try to schedule at least one visit to your home Chapter in 2019. Try to attend at least one meeting and reacquaint yourself with the Order and your Companions. It is in the Chapter Degrees that the true “word” of a Master Mason is revealed, nowhere else, and the lessons taught in our Degrees are some of the most educating and beautiful in Masonry. Your Chapter had it’s first meeting for the new capitular year on September 5th. The meeting went well and everyone was eager to get back to work. Prior to the meeting, we had a Tureen dinner. The food and companionship was excellent. Despite being “dark” during the summer, the Chapter was kept busy hosting the Grand King’s school in July and the 7th capitular District’s Grand High Priest’s reception in July. Both events were well attended and harmony prevailed. At the meeting during the reception over $500.00 was raised for Adopt America. This capitular year I plan on keeping our Chapter busy. Not only are we going to visit our fellow Chapters for Inspections: I plan on having official visitations to the Blue Lodges that support our Chapters. Also, we are going to portray all four degrees this year, which we have not done in for sometime. A busy Chapter is a happy and vibrant chapter. Upcoming events are: Annual Grand Chapter Convocation: October 4-5 2017 Independence Ohio. October 22, 2017 Reaffirmation Sunday, Findlay Chapter 58. Note: Reaffirmation Sunday is a District function and the District will provide meat. All other Refreshments will be provided by the Chapter. Also, our stated meetings are the first Tuesday of each month, except July and August. Before the meeting we have a tureen dinner, please feel free to attend and bring a hot or cold dish to share. The chapter provides the meat and beverages. doors open by 6:00pm and we dine at 6:30pm. Wives and children are always welcome, so please join us. I extend to you my wishes for a blessed and safe holiday season this November and December. Fraternally, Linnville Taggart Greetings Companions,
Your Chapter has elected an Excellent Officer line for this year. We will be “dark” during July and August, however, feel free to stop in when we start up again in September. Our meetings are on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm. The doors open at 6:00pm and we have a tureen dinner at 6:30pm. Bring a hot or cold dish and have some fun food and fellowship. Spouses and children are encouraged to attend and join us. The York Rite Festival in May was a success and Findlay Chapter gained several new Companions. This fall, in October, we will be conferring the Royal Arch Degree on at least one candidate. Please encourage good men to join Lodge and good Masons to join Chapter (York Rite). In order to remain a healthy and vibrant organization we need to replenish our ranks. This July 23rd at the Findlay Complex is or annual Grand High Priest Reception and Awards presentation. The event starts at 3:00pm and afterwards is the Adopt America Auction. Feel free to attend and have some roasted Hog and companionship and fun. Finally, I am honored and humbled to be entrusted by the companions to serve as your High Priest again. I am confident that this capitular year will be one of continued success for Findlay Chapter.
