Findlay Masonic Bodies |
Greetings my Brothers:
We had a great inspection in January. We have working candidates in each degree. Believe it or not spring is just around the corner. This winter’s snow fall has been less than normal but the members here at Findlay 227 have been busy traveling to distant locations, meetings and greeting other fine Brothers with the right hand of friendship. Early spring brings the dormant flowers to bloom and the birds singing their morning songs. It also brings the Easter egg hunt, the Findlay Masonic Bodies Award night, the Oren Goodman Scholarship dinner, and the Findlay Masonic Memorial service. Each of these events have a spcial group of people to honor but everyone is welcome and I encourage you to attend as many as you can. A new event to the Findlay complex will be the Scottish Rite Maundy Thursday service on Wednesday March 23 starting at 7:00. You need not be a member of Scottish Rite to attend this meaningful service. Another new activity in Findlay will be a Friendship night with Zenobia Shrine on Friday April 22 kicking off at 6:00pm. The goal here is to get non Masons together with Masons, and for the Shrine to showcase the work they do with children. This is a win-win for everybody. Contact Boyd Durain or myself for more info. Please bring a good man and his wife to supper. It is with great regret that I also announce that I need another officer in my line. Nathan Weiker and his wife are moving to China. Best wishes to Nathan on this once in a lifetime opportunity. In closing I ask these questions, how has Masonry changed your life? Can you bring this lodge a new member? Do you want to be a leader or a follower? Your Worshipful Master, Jim Warren Findlay Lodge fees $125.00 Dues $30.00 Due in November |
