Findlay Masonic Bodies |
Greetings my Brethren,
I wish I had some amazing news after a crazy year, but I would be lying. As of the writing of this newsletter, there are more questions than answers. Apparently, we will be able to start meeting in person again beginning with our January meetings…that is as long as Hancock County isn’t in the “purple” COVID category. We hope to see you all at our meetings, but if you are sick or concerned about exposure to the ‘Rona, we will understand that you miss a meeting or two. There is no definitive word yet on inspections or other typical annual events. We will pass any information along as soon as we get it from the district or Grand Lodge. We mourn the passing of Leo ‘Skip’ Garey the week before Christmas. His funeral service was well attending and he was given a fine Masonic send-off by the brethren of Genoa Lodge, which was his home lodge. Brethren from Findlay and Mt. Cory were well represented. I hope that you had a wonderful Merry Christmas and that you will have the Happiest of New Years. I will try my best to keep you all informed of any updates as they are received. Best Fraternal Regards, Jim Klausing Worshipful Master Greetings Brethren,
I hope this finds you all doing healthy and well. Summer months are quickly coming to an end, with fall just around the corner. Some important things are coming up in the next few months. Our regular stated meetings are the first and third Wednesdays of each month; dinner at 6:30pm meeting at 7:30. We hope to see you!! October 17 we will hold a One Day Class. The day will begin with light refreshments at 8:00 AM and degree work will start sharply at 9:00am with social distancing and masks being worn. Break for lunch and reconvene for the Master Mason degree. The Annual Meeting and elections of the upcoming officers line is on Wednesday November 4th with installation of Officers November 28th at 1:00PM. We look forward to the annual Children’s Christmas party December 12th. We welcome Dalton Jones our newest Entered Apprentice to the brotherhood. We are also very fortunate to have other petitions coming to us. I would like to thank the brotherhood for allowing me to preside over the lodge for the past year, albeit it a very different year. Myself along with my family wish you all health and happiness. God Bless! Casey Zechman Worshipful Master Greetings Brethren
Your Worshipful Master has been extremely busy reopening his restaurant. I am certain he will keep you informed of necessary events and other business by another source. JB Greetings Brethren
I hope this finds you all doing well. Many things are delayed at this time. Rescheduling events are in the works currently. A revised timeline will be finalized as soon as we know things are getting back to normal. This includes Inspection and any other events that may be affected. The One Day Class for our newly raised Master Mason Brother Harder was a great honor and success. Special dispensation was granted by Most Worshipful Grand Master Keith Newton. Past Grand Master Charlie Murphy initiated him for the Entered Apprentice degree. While I had the pleasure of passing him the degree of Fellow Craft. His father Brother Scott Harder had the distinct and rare experience of raising his son to the sublime degree of Master Mason. What an occasion it was. The Walleyes hockey game was a hit and bus load of fun and fellowship. The next adventure was to be the 3rd annual Mud Hens trip. However due to uncertainty of the League and its season we may have to plan another adventure. I know many along with myself have wanted to take a trip to the Detroit Masonic Temple. Wherever the road takes us I know it will be an excellent time. Awards night is April 15th dinner begins at 6:00. Please join us in celebrating the anniversary of our fellow brothers. A One Day class will be held at Kenton on May 2nd beginning at 9:00am. Again, the dates may change because of the current circumstance. We will keep you advised. I have missed seeing you in Lodge. I am looking to seeing you all again soon when we are able to reconvene. Casey Zechman Worshipful Master |
